About Gia

Gia Lu is a visual artist based in Taipei. Her work moves between realism, atmosphere, and imagination — shaped by a deep love of fashion, photography, cinema, animation, and contemporary visual culture.

At the heart of her practice is a quiet fascination with emotion and how it lives in the smallest things: a gaze, a pause, a gesture, the space a brushstroke leaves untouched. Working in graphite, acrylic, and mixed media, she is drawn to the tension between presence and ambiguity — balancing softness with structure, delicacy with contrast, until observation begins to shift into feeling.

Alongside her fine art practice, Gia also builds imaginative, character-driven worlds and visual narratives — spaces where wonder, freedom, beauty, and emotional connection can breathe.

Her work lingers quietly, inviting a slower look and a more personal interpretation.
